 Summer and winter

Action in the Schierker Feuerstein Arena

There are all sorts of amazing things to experience in the multifunctional arena. We are certainly not exaggerating when we say that the place is a play paradise at any time of year. In summer, it's almost hard to decide what to do! What do we do first?

A round of roller skating. Then test our climbing skills on the bouldering wall. Get your feet back on the ground and experience the feeling of weightlessness on the trampoline. Or would you prefer minigolf, slackline, giant Jenga or pedal go-karts? The list is long ...

In winter, the imposing building is transformed into an ice arena with ice skating, ice hockey, curling and ice disco. After so much movement and action, a refreshment is a must. The bistro is well prepared to cater for any cravings. An all-round successful day on holiday - for children and adults alike.

Discover wild nature

There is a lot to experience in the Harz National Park

Jumping around with animals or hearing as well as an owl? This is possible on the Dandelion Discovery Trail in the Harz National Park. The 1.2 km long tour starts in Drei Annen Hohne and teaches you about nature in a fun and varied way.

At the end of the trail, the HohneHof Nature Adventure Centre invites you to stop for a bite to eat. There is an adventure playground and an exhibition suitable for children.
The children will certainly talk about your adventurous hike over hill and dale through the Eckerloch to the Brocken, via the fairytale trail "The White Deer" (May - October), in bed at night.

Hiking for the title of prince and princess

Stamp hunt with the Harz hiking pin

Do your little ones have nothing to do with hiking yet? Trust us, nothing will motivate them more to go on their next hiking tour than a Harz Hiking Needle booklet.

A total of 222 stamps (and some special stamps) can be collected throughout the Harz Mountains to earn the coveted badges. By the time the bronze hiking pin comes into view, there are guaranteed to be no more long faces when you put on your hiking boots. You can get your first badge from as few as 8 hiking stamps, and from 11 stamps you can even call yourself a hiking prince or princess.

Some of the green hiking boxes can be found around Schierke.
The hiking booklets, badges and suitable maps, if required, are of course available from us at the Tourist Information Centre.
