Time is our most precious commodity. So what is the best way to deal with it? Perhaps we should imagine time as a big, beautiful jug that we can fill ourselves.
ourselves. So let's start collecting moments of happiness, hours of serenity, days full of contentment, moments of wonder, minutes of exuberance and pictures for eternity.

Where? Here! With us! In Schierke. Our magazine is packed full of impressive places, wonderful nature experiences and stories worth telling. They do say: When it's at its best, you should leave. However, there are simply too many good reasons to stay in Schierke.

... for cycling and mountain bike tours

Would you like to cycle around Schierke? Then we have some tour suggestions here for mountain bikes, e-bikes or touring bikes with muscle drive.

Schierke is surrounded by a dense mountain bike network. Due to the valley location of the village, the term "mountain bike swing" between Schierke and Wurmberg characterises the special profile of the Schierke mountain bike area. The originality of the area is characterised by long, sometimes very steep climbs, the tangible proximity of the Harz foreland, which can be classified as flatland, combined with extraordinarily beautiful views from the summits. The Schierker cliffs often provide a special backdrop to the tours.

... for tours through the town

The village of Schierke in the middle of nature and below the Brocken in the Harz National Park has experienced a lot over the years.

Famous people such as Johann Wolfgang Goethe and Heinrich Heine have stayed here. During the GDR era, the village was located in the border area and could only be reached with a pass. After the first years of reunification with all its challenges, Schierke continued to develop into an attractive tourist destination.

Our guided tours offer many insights into the developments and nature around Schierke.
