Walpurgis in Schierke
On 30 April - Walpurgis Day - the Walpurgis fire is lit at dusk and Walpurgis Night begins. The big witches' procession with witches and devils from near and far starts at the youth hostel. The medieval market on the Walpurgis grounds in the Schierke spa gardens invites all friends and girlfriends who enjoy stalls with goods, food and drink and jugglers.
The traditional firework display at the end is the highlight of Walpurgis Night in Schierke.

If you prefer a party atmosphere to medieval sounds, you should visit the Walpurgis party stage. The live cover band "Z(w)eitreise" and the DJ team heat up the visitors in the Schierker Feuerstein Arena from 6.00 pm.

On 30 April, the ticket is also valid as a ticket for the shuttle bus service between Wernigerode and Schierke.
